Fly fishing tuition is available by arrangement. The tutor, David Oversby, draws upon many years of experience in fly fishing and teaching in the Yorkshire Dales and is known for his patient, calm manner. The tuition, tailored to your requirements, can cover:

casting techniques, both overhead with the trout rod and spey casting with a salmon rod as well as the double spey. snake roll the up stream version of the snap T and down stream cast off the right and left shoulder
There is a casting platform at the fishery ideal for speycasting
catching methods such as floating lines, sinking lines
different retrieves
how to recognise what's hatching
where to cast

Salmon fishing can be provided with a river trip into scotland to fish some fantastic salmon rivers. This will be organised by the tutor.

£16 for one hour's individual tuition (this includes the site fee.)

£12 for each additional hour on the same day (you can split the hours so you can have a practice in between.)

Weather

If you want to check the weather then visit the Ingleborough webcam, which takes a photo of Ingleborough every 15 minutes during daylight hours.

Fly fishing Tip

The fish will come up from the depths to take a dry or buzzer. It is good buzzer water.
